Candy Apple Easter Eggs

Every post I see of Easter Eggs on Pinterest and blogs have these PERFECT  decorated and dyed eggs.  Well, that will not be the case here.  I’ve got 4 sets of little hands that want to engage in this activity and I’m not about to make it Martha perfect by taking over their creativity.  Many of those pins/posts are done by adults and artist.  Someday, I’ll make my own masterpiece but for right now I’m sticking with the kids masterpieces.  Some of the eggs were done by little hands and some by bigger.  But they’re fantastic- each one!

We started this year’s egg dying by trying to bake all the eggs instead of boiling. It worked surprisingly well and with one cracked and not dye worthy, they tasted great too.

bake your eggs at 325 for 30 minutes for hard boiled-like perfection
We baked our eggs at 325 F for 30 min.

Then we started dying our eggs with a simple box kit we found at Walmart.

Then we added glitter glue.
